Each year, the Freedom Area Educational Foundation makes funds available, in the form of grants (up to $500), awarded to Freedom Area teachers to create new and innovative programs that could not normally be accomodated by the school budget.
A teacher mini-grant can make learning exciting for both students and teachers because it gives our teachers an opportunity to be innovative and creative. The ideas for these projects come directly from the teachers.
All grant applications are reviewed by the Foundation and are awarded based on the availability of funds, as well as the Foundation's Board's recommendations and annual spending plans.
**NOTE - the Foundation does not donate funds toward the operational expenses of the Freedom Area School District.
